I bought one of these a few years ago anyone else have one? Man its a wicked gun

I just picked one up the end of last summer. It's a blast to shoot. I've been working on reloads for hunting and have a couple of promicing ones now that I can keep around 3 inches at 50 yards. So I'll limit myself to that distance until I improve

Have looked at several different ones in this caliber.

surprisingly not as bad as you'd think. I have a S&W .44 Mag that my wife refuses to shoot but she will shoot my Raging Bull .454C Mine has the 8.5 inch bbl and is scoped so the added weight plus the porting holds the recoil down. I have a video clip somewhere of my 13 yr old son shooting it. Big smile on his face.

Someday I would like to scope it and get me a deer with it

I have a Ruger SRH in .454 casull. I use .45 colt +p loads in it. They give plenty of power for Maine whitetails and black bears. It's topped with a
1.5 - 5 scope. I have fired well over 500 rouds through it mostly .45 colt and .45 colt +p. The full power .454's are alot more gun than I need in Maine.
