Click to view attachmentBrought my 6 year old out hunting this past fall. Walked a trail I call "Auxiliary." It's the last one I hit on the way home and invariably produces at least one flush. Auxiliary came through again with a Grouse the size of a chicken! I know it looks bigger with my 6 year old holding it, but it was probably the biggest grouse I ever harvested.

As much as I'd like to share, he was part of a dish called Creamed Grouse over biscuits consumed over 3 months ago. Mmmmmm
It's cool to see the interest in the outdoors that he develops every time I bring him out. My little buddy sat in the stand with me for 3 1/2 hours in 35 degree weather during the last weekend of firearms season and never complained once. A little trooper.

Willy that is a very large Grouse. Are you feeding them steroids?

Love to see the yougsters getting involved at early age.
