Thoughts on looking for sheds in the North.:
Living in the north does have some advantages. When the snow is FINALLY gone, all of the vegetation and leaves from the past fall are flattened tight to the ground. At this time, you can clearly see the trails the deer used all winter. The amount of deer droppings in the trails gives a good indication of the amount of use of each trail. If you get out before the new vegetation starts to pop up, any dropped antlers are just kinda laying on top of the flattened vegetation, most times in the trails. There is still aa lot of ground between antlers in most of our country, just due to the fact few bucks survive to drop the antlers.
Went out for the first time today. No new drops, but did find some unique things-
One old dropped /chewed on antler
