Click to view attachmentFinally got a shot at a nice gobbler with the Matthews Q2. It sported a 10 1/2' beard and 1 1/4 spurs and weighed approx 21 lb. The jake on the right was taken by a friend the same morning.

Most of Nebraska has a Hybrid between the Merriam and a type of domestic turkey. They are found throughout the state with only some of the more Northwestern counties still having pure Merriams. They have increased so much that this year the G & P is allowing you to purchase 3 tags. I am hunting in the eastern part of the state near Omaha.

wow kevin; that's a nice gobbler. my buddy from georgia is moving to omaha next week. hopefully in another year or 2 i'll be joining him. i hear it's a wildlife meca up there. between nebraska and iowa i should be able to find some animals to hunt. now if i can only convince the air force that they need to send my up there.
congrats on the bird

If you make it up here, give me an E-mail and I will see what I can do for you. There is some pretty good public hunting ground real close to Offutt AFB.
