I shot my first ever turkey this morning, and with a bow, no less.
He came in at 20 lbs. 10 oz., .9375 and .8750 in. spurs, and 10.625 in. beard.
I missed one last year during my first year turkey hunting, and was hooked immediately. Things worked out better this year!

Congrats! Getting them down with a bow is not always easy. What kind of braodhead and how far did he go after your shot?

He didn't take a step after the shot. He ended up a few feet away from flapping around, but no steps. I used a 100 grain Thunderhead on Maxima arrows. The shot was 29 yards.

Awesome that your first bird was with a bow. I've killed a fair number of toms but none with stick and strong yet, but its on the horizon.....
