Mom and Dad were riding their 4-wheeler down the little road that leads to our hunting cabin. Mom was riding on the back and she spied the left shed at a place the deer jump a fence. They drove around the hay field on the other side of the fence and were lucky enough to find its mate. What's amazing is that this is in the area we hunt and no one had seen a deer of this caliber last year. My brother had caught a glimpse of a big buck chasing a doe, but never got a good enough look to know if this could have been him. All I know is that I'll have something to dream about until season opener. Maybe we'll get some "before" pics of him this year.
If I remember right, the main beams were around 23" and that tall G2 on the right beam was just shy of 12" long. Since the right side was out in the hay field, the squirrels hadn't chewed it up too bad.
Any guesses on what he would have scored? We only took those couple of measurments. More importantly, what do you think he will score this fall.
