Congratulations and nice pictures guys
PaPaBob
Thanks AntlerMan. You taken care of my bucks down there in S. Illinois. I dream every night of my trip back to your neck of the woods. Headed back there the second week of Nov. coming up as long as I get a license. Boy the leg. and DNR seems to have their head where the sun don't shine concerning this license issue for outofstate folks. They are killing the outfitters situation. These guys can't sell spots really until after the sale which is well down into the summer. By then if their interested hunters don't get the permit they now have to scramble for guys that did get the permits. Crazy.

Nice pic Bob.

Eric: That's a pretty nice bird yourself. Congrats. Did you get that one last year? I see your Dad jumpted in there to take credit for the calling. It is always nice to have a hunting buddy along for the companionship as well as the calling.

Congrats guys.... great pics!
PaPaBob
Hello Jeff. Thanks for that. Yea, it was great fun and a hair raising experience shooting one with a bow. Man their eyes are good. If they could smell we would never kill one except at very long distances.

PaPaBob, This Nonresident issue could be a whole nother topic. Which I might start up sometime with opinions on pros and cons of it all. It is a pretty touchy subject in these parts.....

Here is a picture of a Goulds turkey from Mexico I took in 03 with my bow and out of my T-5 pro staff Double Bull. I love the white on these birds as they come strutting into the decoys.
PaPaBob
Looks great. Hope you did something with that beautiful fan.

Great pic AntlerMan. Nice turkey

Thanks MI and yes Bob I got a full body mount on 1 of the Goulds that had a double beard and I dried and boraxed one of the other hides. I will try to post a couple of pictures later. You would not believe the racket that it is to bring a bird back into the USA.

The USDA has a mandatory 48 hr quarintine period(no problem here with that) but a USDA licensed taxidermist must be the one picking it up at the Airport and and then shipping onto your local taxidermist.

I asked the USDA taxidermist what he must do to the bird before shipping overnight UPS $$ to my taxidermist? He replied "nothing I just keep it frozen for 48 hrs" wacko.gif IT WAS ALREADY FROZEN AT THE OUTFITTERS LODGE FOR 2 DAYS wacko.gif
