For those of you that do like the Live Webcam- it is 'Not Maintenance Free'
It cost well over $1,000.00 USD to get it up and running properly.

Live Wildlife WebCam

It requires someone to drive out to the feed store and purchase products, such as corn, feed, mineral blocks, etc. What's more important is the labor involved. By the time you start driving to the store, get back, relocate the feed and supply into the proper storage containers & facilities to prevent rodents and bugs from contaminating the stored feed & minerals, then the breaking down process of the feed into small buckets, so it can easily be transported out into the wildlife to be equally spread around the live webcam area.

Once a week the lens needs cleaning on the camera, the area needs to be cleaned up and kept scent free to ensure the wildlife feel safe coming into the area.

Sure there is more involved, but at least you understand the basics- and if you want to see more wildlife, and continued wildlife viewing on your computer monitors or wide screens, we ask that you take a moment to contribute to the feed that is needed to keep it active!

A small generous portion would be more then greatly appreciated, the owner of the cam does a great job, and we would like to keep it going for everyone.

PayPal Donations can be sent to: butterflycamp@optonline.net Your name & address is not needed- you simply opt out of address when you make your donation- Thank you.

Commercial products can be advertised on the webcam for 14 day's at a time, if you are interested in commercial advertisement please contact Don butterflycamp@optonline.net

Thank you to everyone who found it in there hearts to help a guy out when help is needed! Semper-Fi!

I was watching the camera last night and there was a herd of coons and in the trees as well. Well some went up on whatever the camera is on and changed the angle of the camera and shifted it. Just an FYI for the owner. Any estimate on how much 1 of these contraptions costs to have a camera like this and all that is included?? coolsmiley.gif

you used to be able to see more of the ground in front of the camera but when the coon hit it, the angle now is little upward and right. Not that its a big deal.
What is the camera mounted too? Some of the doe come in and will look right at the camera.

Yes I was watching the live stream and seen the coon mess with the camera . It is mounted in a 1300 Pelican case with a Python lock around it . No different then the video units we use .

I have a little over $1000 invested in my setup . Not counting the corn and web space per month .
