I haven't seen a kerosene heater I would use hunting. I can't remember the name but my brother-in-law had one that took a small propane bottle he really liked. He got it at wallyworld.

I use the Mr. Heater they ae about $65.00 - $75.00. They take the 1lb. Lp camping stove type cans. They will last about 8hr. on low. Type in "Mr Heater" into Ebay to get a looky see.

I only use it when i really need it, maybe a 1/2 dozen times during late muzzleloading season last year at the most and i havent had a problem with the deer coming within 15-20 yards of it. I think they can smell you better than they can smell the propane. (Im not saying you stink or anything Travis

) But with it being so cold i think itd be harder for them to smell it anyways. JMO

well, I'm on a budget for camo and stuff this year.... I can't get much to wear.... like sweat shirts, hoodies... flannel shirts

I have a bazillion wool socks though!

That and If I just hunt the ground blind.... I can get away with wearing black.

The best kind of heater imo would be an alcohol one, no smell and less of a problem with Carbon monoxide, thats what we used to use in our sail boat galley stove and even on the coldest day you got too hot. Down in NC even a small one should give off enough heat plus if you put a piece of old carpet on the top before the camo cloth you could stay toasty with just your own body heat if you make your own blind.
