Heres a tip on how to repair a broken tine on a deer rack.I just finished this a few days ago.I aquired this awesome droptine shed that sported a 11" droptine, unfortunately he broke his G4 tine.

First off, drill a hole into center of where tine was to fit a stiff wire,I ended up useing a welding rod.Make hole small enough to make wire a tight fit.

The next step is to get some Apoxie Sculpt from a taxidermy catalog, get white colored, its a 2 part epoxie.Mix enough to rebuild the shape of the tine your trying to rebuid. Now form the apoxie onto the wire and make it the size that looks right with the other tines.

Now let it dry for roughly 5 hours, and then get the sand paper and sand it down to look natural, take your time and study it from all angles.

Now time to recolor it,quess what to use here?Crayons biggrin.gif Go swipe your kids crayons and start coloring.I start out with black, then some brown, gray and even a bit of yellow. You can rub on the tine with your hands to blend colors together, take your time until you get the look you want, once I find the right color,I spray a light coat of clear coat spray on to protect my coloring.Heres end result.
