my brand new lonewolf sit and climb makes a metal on metal poping noise when i stand up on the platform. as far as i can tell everything looks good with the stand, nothing rubbing or laying on each other. i tried to tighten the black cross bar on the bottom and i got a little bit of a turn on each side so hopefully that fixed it. i have been POed about this for the last 2 days because they claim to be the most quiet stand on the market but my old man seem to be more quiet.
i hope this fixed it cause these public land deer down here spook at the drop of a hat. i'll post back here tonight after i get out of the woods. i hope nobody else is having this problem.
i'll stop my rant now

Something is not right lug. Mine makes no noise. If that doesn't fix it I would contact the company.

i agree, id contact them if it still makes noises. my cousin bought a lonewolf and says he can do the irish jig on it and it wont make a peep. Of course hes got more guts than i do doing the irish jig 25 foot in the air

hope you get it figured out

i can't help but think that being able to get a turn on the allen screws that hold the black crossbar on should fix the problem. it turns out i wont be able to make it to the woods until in the morning but i'll find a pine tree around here somewhere to put it on today

I just contacted LW (a couple of days ago) about mine doing the same thing.
Did you notice the 2 Allen head bolts on both ends of the cross bar on the bottom half of the stand ?
I tightened them and then e-mailed LW.
I got a phone call back with in an hour of sending the e-mail.
Heard from Dan and he recommended that I tightened the 2 bolts when I told him I had just done that he said to let him know if that didn't fix the problem.
I went out in the yard and put the stand up and couldn't get the popping sound to happen again.
I found that a couple of them were just a little loose, not loose enough that they were about to come out but I was able to tighten them with out much effort.
EDIT
I see you found the allen head screws and tighened them I bet you'll be good to go.

hey sil. that is the same problem and i did tighten them and found the same thing that you did. i got a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn on 2 of them. i put it up on a tree a few minutes a go and i couldn't get it to pop no matter what i did. i'll be in the woods in the morning so i'll get to see then. i'll let you guys know what i find out. hopefully this is a sonlution to the problem.

Good thread Lug, mine was making the same noise last week, I'm heading out in the morning so I'm going to slip out to the truck and grab my stand and give them a few turns. I thought it was the way I had it positioned on the tree.
