Funny you should ask right now. I was out this weekend running the ATV followed by some squirrel hunting. I use a call by name of Critter Git R or some such. It has a plastic top with a rubber bottom with four baffles. When I walked through a nice oak ridge and didn't get a single squirrel to jump I sat down for a couple of minutes and pulled it out. You work it by tapping the rubber bottom then shaking the call. Imitates an angry squirrel. They don't really come to the call, they argue back at you. Then you scan the branches of the trees around you to find the bugger. Worked like a charm up north, so I went out today in one of our state recreation areas to see if it would do the same. Worked like a charm again down here. I passed on shooting the one down here because I didn't feel like cleaning him. I also called in a couple of hawks looking for an easy meal. Bunch of fun to tick the little buggers off with the call.

I was going to say "one that Pisses them off" but that's not politically correct.
I have the same kind that Jon uses,,,,it does piss them off, not to mention the wife when I'm messing around with it in the house!!!
It really does work well though,,,even on the squirrels

Yeah, I was going to say pisses them off, but I try to keep it nice. I forgot to say how much it cost, mostly because I don't remember. Somewhere around 10 bucks I think. Can be found in Cabela's, Gander Mountain,Bass Pro and I think WalMart. I think it's this one... http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...2047&hasJS=true ... the link to Cabela's to see what it looks like.
