Has anyone here ever owned a Leaf River Digital trail cam ? If i dont buy another used (or make one myself) homebrew i was looking for something that had more security than most over-the-counter units.Leaf River seems to have the most security/mounting hardware out there that comes standard .

I have one its the 3mp had great service from it. security wise it cables to a tree like most others I have never had any problems from the unit. I would lean more toward the hombrews simply for better pic's I would'nt trade my homebrews for any store bought game cam's

i bought another homebrew from another sites member. Now,i just have to be smarter and place it in areas harder to see etc. Also im using a pass-thru pipe and python and also a eyebolt /chain set-up.And stick to stout trees.

I've owned and used a Leaf River cam for a couple of seasons now. I am somewhat satisfied with it. There are numerous pics of the woods......as the deer moved out of the frame before it took the picture. The pictures that it does get with an animal in it, are of good quality, but I don't need quality pics of the brush and trees around the set up. I hoping to buy some new cameras to use along with the Leaf River. I'm just now learning of the other makers, but everything I've seen about the Swamp Ghost camera has impressed me.

The leaf river has a long shutter (makes for blurry pictures at night) For security depending on your camera you might check out these guys - I have several of there "safe" and they are tops Swivel Safe

What is the reaction speed (how fast does it trigger) of the yeti board used in the trail ghost?
