i found my first florida shed today while hunting. it's no monster but it's only the second shed that i have found total in all my years in the woods. i even have a trail camera picture of the deer from last year too. i thought that this was way cool!!

i did circular patterns around where i found this one and i didn't find anything. i then walked down the trail that it appeared the deer had been on, but i couldn't find the other one. i did mark the spot on my gps so if i get a chance i'll return to pick up the search.

the area that i found the shed was tore up with scrapes and hooking so i plan on hunting it later when the rut picks up.

exciting isnt it! looks very similar to this little buck my boyfriend and i have been watching since summer. he took quite a beating on his little rack, fortunatly we found his larger half. he broke the left side at the base....the next day he came in with the tine on his good side broke off.
he's a tough one!
