Anyone have any experience with the new Thompson Center Icon? Especially the 30 TC? Does it perform as Thompson Center (maker of the Icon) and Hornady (maker and only source of the 30 TC ammunition) claim it will? Any feedback will be welcome.

I just purchased an ICON i n 30tc, havent scoped the gun yet, so, I havent shot It yet . Just recived a custom 30tc barrel for my ENCORE .I ordered it in december. one of the fore end screw holes was drilled catiwampus and I cuuldnt get the fore end mounted .sent it back , betty at fox ridge (t/c custom shop) said they would make me a new one ASAP. I'll get back after I shoot either one . One of my shooting friends also bought one at the same time, we actualy ordered them before they were in the stores, the serial #s are in the low 2000 so we've seriously been thinking about not fireing them and keeping them for collector items . dont know if I can really do that. will see?allthough the 30tc barrel for the encore I will definatly shoot when it comes back from fox ridge.
