I recently changed from alum to carbon arrows and my bow is a lot louder now.....
Is this normal?
What is the reason for the difference?
Solutions?

Are your new carbon arrows lighter than the aluminums?

yeah, i'm not sure what the weight was of the alums but they were Easton XX75 2213
Now I'm shooting Cabela's Stalker Extreme 340-----9.3 gpi
I guess the lighter the arrow the less energy can be put into the arrow itself and must be transfered somewhere else--the bow limbs?

What do you have for a bow?
What is your rest and did you adjust it when you switched arrows?

Make sure your nock set is not too high now and also make sure your arrow is the proper fit in the bisquit(just barely loose). With a 2213, the rest proboly was a medium to begin with, so that should be good, but if it is a large, then it will be sloppy.
With your specific bow, arrow weight can make a difference in noise along with speed. You may want to try adding weight at both ends of your string and if you do not have them already, limbsavers or VibraBlocks on the limbs.
Also anything loose such as a sight screw will be noticable. Make sure your quiver is not making noice either. With more speed/vibration all those things are more pronounced on a non parellel limb bow.

Agree completley with Yankee. Also your whisker biscuit might be the wrong size for your arrows. I know whisker biscuit makes large size and medium size. Your probably going to need a medium sized whisker biscuit so it a little more enclosed around your arrow. This might be causing some noise too. You just need to get a a new whisker part not the whole rest again.
