I was wondering if anyone on here has used them? I've watched some Drury videos and thats all they use and I'm impressed. I've seen tons of pictures from friends and I've some deer that my friends have gotten with them. The whole is amazing and the accuracy is even better! I shot a 2 blade Rage last night at a foam broadhead target. Lets just say I'm settled on using them next season. It left a perfect 2 inch cut in the foam and it hit the 2 inch by 2 inch dot that I was aiming for. I can't wait to give them a shot next season.

I used one on a doe last December and was amazed at the damage it caused. I will be trying to run a couple through some Kansas turkeys very soon.

Blood trail was crazy on both sides.
This was from a deer running full speed.

Entry and exit holes.

ive made my mind up too...right after i get my new bow, new arrows, new drop away, new release, new sight, new targets......ill be a new man by this fall/next decade.
But in all seriousness ive never heard one bad thing about them honestly and ive see more than one shot where you can see the blood come out before the deer even knew what hit him (one is on one of the drury movies when he first starts using the buck growl that im sure youve probably seen).

Heres a doe I shot last year with them. They leave devasting cuts and blood trails especially if they're quartering any.

i have heard a few folks say that they didn't open all the way up or only 2 of the 3 blades deployed on the 3 blade rage.
you just have to pick you poision. if you shoot a rage you run the risk of something mechanical not working and if you shoot a fix blade your not going to get massive blood trails on every shot.

I have shot well over 100 big game animals with mechanicals. I personaly would not shoot a fixed blade head with the exception of sheep because of the inches of thick matted hair. There is little or no chance of a rage head not opening. We have shot them frozen at -20 in the freezer and always open. I don't like or use Rage myself, but I have no fear of them not opening.
The biggest complaint we hear about Rage is that in many quivers, they open.....

i too have no doubt that they would open but i have seen 3 blade rages only have 2 open, definatley not a show stopper and the animal would die if hit in the right spot but if you make that point a fix blade is just as lethal if you hit both lungs.
when it comes to broadheads it really doesn't matter IMO you either hit them where your supposed to or you don't

I haven't experienced this yet because I haven't put any on my arrows yet, but this actually crossed my mind today......if they would be forced open in my quiver.

You definately cannot jam them up into the foam but I didnt have any trouble last year and I use the sofloc alpine

If you use a quiver designed for mechicals, they are perfectly fine. The double arrow grippers work best. A gripper just before the hood and the standard gripper at the oposite end of the quiver works well.

I understood you the first time.
I need to try mine. I'll go now and report back with the results.

Hmm, it seems the foam in my quiver is used just enough to where the Rage b'heads slide in fairly well. I only had it to partially open one time after putting it in and removing it several times. I think it'll be fine.
