I use goat tuff for fletching my arrows, is there any problem with the glue being stored in my garage in the cold? Kind of late in the winter to be asking this but will it cause any problems within the glue?

No not at all. Great choice on glue by the way. Thats all I use and I will never use anything else. Shot one of my arrows with the S.G.H. head through a stump and my vanes stayed attached.

I like it too, just was afraid that temperature extremes would cause problems.

Hey Lance,
I just had to toss out my bottle of goat tuff fom last year. I couldn't get vanes to stick. Had mine inside all winter so temperature wasn't the issue. Even capped, the stuff just doesn't set up as quick once it ages. I ordered a new bottle and everything was fine with the shafts the old bottle wasn't working on, so it had to be the age of the glue.
Just a thought if your's seems a bit less effective than when you first opened it up.

Thanks Steve, I have another brand new bottle, I wonder if I should not have gotten that with half a bottle still left. The new bottle is still capped so it might be OK.

I did the same thing.
Try the old bottle and see of they stick like they're supposed to. If they do, you're golden. If not try the fresh stuff.

I have all of a sudden gotten interested in arrow wraps, do you use them? If so, where do you get them? I have contacted a couple guys on AT that make them and they have been very nice to talk to but really hard to get to...I think they are overwhelmed with orders...I was going to get some from Cabela's but they are on backorder.

Thanks. Any performance issues between 4" and 7" wrap other than a couple grains? I have a feeling I am over-thinking this which is standard for me.

The only difference between the two is the weight. Which isn't much of a difference. I personally like the the 4 inch wraps though.
Oh believe me, I've been there for over thinking part.

So which ones did you order? I am about to order all the stuff to build and refletch my own arrows. I have been following this thread with a lot of interest.

Get them both. Do half in one and the other half in the other one.
