I am thinking about planting 1-2 acres of Whitetail Institute POWER PLANT this summer. I've never tried it before, and am looking for a high yield forage producer to get the deer fattened up over the summer.

I'm also hoping it will keep the deer away from the corn and soybeans, until fall.

Anyone try POWER PLANT or a similar "Lab Lab" mix product in the Upper Midwest?

Thanks

Tom,

We have been planting soybeans for the last couple years, and while they are growing, the deer are hitting them so hard, that they never mature and produce beans. Last year we planted about 3 acres worth of Soybeans.

This year we plan on upping the amount of soybeans as well as corn. currently we plan on having the following.

4-5 acres Soybeans
4-5 acres corn
2 acres W.I. Power Plant
2-3 acres Clover (already established)
2-3 brassica & turnips

This year we are going to try drilling the soybeans right into a stand of mowed winter wheat that was planted last fall.
