I used my $4 diaphram call and my $30 decoys from walmart(bought recently).... watched videos from the Net on how to use the call, practiced that call every chance I got, practiced the ground blind Bow shots for months now.
Got off work yesterday @ 1pm, bought my license and tags off the Net, went to my friends farm in woodford co. Set up the blind, the video cam(and started filming), and the decoys, started calling at about 15min. in the blind.
Well, here come 2 gobblers...
54 yard shot
17lbs
8 3/4" beard
15/16" spurs
I still have a adrenaline rush going even today! I guess this one will go to the taxidermist, since it was my first and with a bow. I will post the video if it turns out(haven't had a chance to preview it yet).
