Minnesota Turkey season is five days and I only had one shot at a tom in that time although I had turkey around the blind each day they were just to cautious to come into range. When one finnally did.It was perfect sun settting everything orange and lit up .I had had trouble loosing birds with my regular broadheads so I bought a set of bull heads 125's and got longer arrows. and tried to shoot it in the head, as I pulled back its head was down then it brought it up to the middle of its body and as I released it jerked its head up and the bull head hit it square in the chest . It jumped in the air and it was like it spit the arrow back out. and took off .It went over the hill into a open plowed field with ten more birds and I watched them for 20 minutes and a half mile and he looked fine. I checked my pics from a grove of trees 3/4 mile away and 22 hours later and these are a few of the pics that show the wound the best. Bull heads are not for the body! It was only a ten yard shot!

the last evening I hunted I moved to that grove and the turkeys snuck into the crp when I came in. I set up and 20 minutes later I heard a gobble right behind the blind . I thought alright hes coming in. But now I realize it was probably a shock gobble when he saw that dang blind again because he kept gobbling as he ran off into the distance.LOL
