Planted 250 Seedlings 3 years ago. Lost quit a few [over 50%] to the last 2 hot dry summers.
Most of the remaing ones are really starting to grow.

Make sure you cover that top terminal over the winter Tom. Until they're tall enough to be out of the whitetails reach. The deer love to eat the buds off the top terminal and that is what makes the tree grow taller. When it's nipped, they won't get very tall, just wider. Around here I've seen people staple a piece of paper over the top buds and the deer won't touch them then. I've had a few bodering my yard noshed by the deer....
