Is my draw length too long?
Maybe a little long OR your arms could just be too short 
. How does it feel?
I would say try another cam an inch shorter and see if it feels better. Mathews draw lengths seem to run long (from what's stamped on the cam.)

It feels OK but that might explain why my shoulder has been sore, I thought it was from playing softball. I may run to the proshop today. Honestly, I do feel a bit over-extended. If I go with another cam do I then have to buy new cables and strings?

No I dont think so
I went to the shop after shortening my D-loop, they said I am right where I need to be.
