Hey guys, I have been shooting Gold Tip Pro Hunters and love them. I just ordered another dozen but errantly ordered the XT Hunter. The difference is .001 and .003 in straightness. Anyone shoot the XT and do you think I will experience any decline in performance, durability or anything else if I stick with the XT?
Scottyluck
Pro and XT are the same arrows. The Pros are just the ones out of the batch that hold the tighter tolerance. Durability will be the same. Performance can be a crap shoot.

FWIW, I used to use Gold Tip XT and Pros. The last dozen of each I bought only about 3 Xt's and 5 Pro's were usuable for broadheads. The rest were well out of the tolerance range with a very noticable wobble when they are spun.
Seems their standards have dropped since they started making them South of the Border.

I agree with Scottyluck on the quality. From what I understand the Goldtip arrows shafts have always been made in Mexico and then the shafts were shipped to the US for inspection and sorting and packaging process. Once Goldtip bought the Blackhawk brand they moved the Goldtip line across the street to the Blackhawk factory and converted the old Goldtip lines to the Victory Arrows. I am not sure how true all this is just what I read and heard.

I went ahead and sent them back with another $30, may as well stay with what works. Thanks guys.
