Guess I won't be using this spot this year. I went out to check a hang-on that I left over winter. I couldn't find it at first. This used to be 15 ft. up over looking a trail that ran thru a small strip of trees between a swamp and a field. Now it's nothing but a rats nest of fallen trees. Tornado or high winds I guess.
This homemade stand hooks on with a chain at top and digs in on the bottom and is kinda hard to get loose after sitting on it all season. The storm twisted the tree 90 degrees and layed it down. Somehow my tree stand chain came off and the stand was just balancing there when I found it. I just walked over and pulled it right down. Hard to believe it stayed there.

mother nature may have made you nice little funnel. look around and see if it narrowed the deers movement to one particular place.

Glad it didn't crush your stand.

It used to be a funnel leading to a small staging area. The most I had was a 10 yd. shot. Now it's so plugged that I don't think one of your Florida deer could get thru there.

florida deer wouldn't use that coridor anyway because there was a treestand there. these spooky little suckers down hear can spot a stand in a tree before you get it out of your truck

or maybe it's just my stand that they avoid
