I was kind of hesitant on buying this target even though it is a Rinehart. $185/shipped for a Rinehart 3d target???? I thought they had to be skimping somewhere. My buddy bought one and after checking it out I ordered one too. Well this target is all Rinehart and high quality. It's small but it's built just the same as the larger more expensive 3d targets they produce. Vitals and bones are marked for treestand, quartering and broadside shots. Replaceable insert and no legs or head to attatch, all one piece just like his big brothers. It may be the smallest 100 pound 10 pointer I have ever seen but after sticking him for a week at 60 yards it can make the real thing at 30 yards look like a moose.

I shot a rage two blade into it and it sucked it up very good. Normally I don't because they do fly like field points but I just had to smoke this little guy with the real thing one time.

Some pics of my new punching bag. There were two fawns in the yard this morning checking him out, they didn't know what to think and just jumped around like fawns do.

Nice looking target! How did the Rage perform on it? On a side note, I heard the Delta factory burned down...dead 3d targets all over the place. I can find the info if anyone is interested.

The Rage went "THWACK!!!!" and left a big 2" slice. About a half inch clipping the heart and the rest running through the lungs. The target healed up nice after I pulled the broadhead out.

Did anyone see the mechanical broadhead field test in the Oct issue of Bowhunting World ?

Rage 2 blade got a 7.94 on the penetration test.
Grim Reaper Razortip got a 9.25
Fues Kumasi got a 9.13
Rocket Steelhead got a 9.88 but it also only has a 1 1/8" actual cutting diameter

C'mon Steve, let us see too...

7.94 = complete pass through with a 2.5"+ entrance hole.

What the heywill is a Fues Kumasi??? Sounds like a top secret ninja move.


I'm kind of weary of those over the toppers although I know the Steelheads and Reapers are proven heads. But if I'm going to shoot a 1 1/8" head it's going to be a fixed blade Slick Trick.

i have the delta broadhead buck... broadheads cut the foam insert out QUICK!!!! I have just about got a hole goin all tha way through

MY bow is in spec guess thats what you get from a mat-yous.
You going to record a shooting clinic for future reference so the next time you have to re-tune YOUR Mat-yous you can see how it should shoot ?

Maybe you should switchy to Bow Tech so you wont have all these problems.

Practice how you play.

Do you hunt in the middle of the day from the ground and shoot deer from 60 - 70 yards away that is standing in the wide open ?

Silly Bowhunter, I said my friends Switchy. Mine is always in top notch condition and purr's like a kitten. Sometimes I look in it's bedroom and find him missing, only too see the little bow outside practicing on it's own. My buddies bow is a five year old Switchy with the original Zebra's that's never seen the shop and yet manages to kill bears, deers and turks every year. Good Lawd Switchy to a Blow-Teck????? Bite yer tongue son. I said I had to tune his bow not replace limbs and give her a complete overhaul.



And yes most of the deer I hunt are from 60 yards at noon in open fields
