Well my early goose season is already sneaking up fast. It starts Sept 1st and last for 15 days with 5 bird/day limit. Went and bought a dozen big foot dekes last weekend and ANOTHER call to try and figure out in 10 days. Anyone else gettin ready to go?

Ours (SC) is the entire month of Sept. with a 15/day limit

Starts in the AM... we'll be locked and loaded Going to a field where we had a group of 35+ land out of range and feed towards us last season. We let them get in tight then cut loose, I got off 12 shots and little man got off 9, lol. We wound up killing 13 of 'em

Seasons open, whats the body count?

A couple pix from my solo hunt yesterday. Three birds total. My D**n browning gold hunter turned into a very expensive single shot after the first flock.

I'm hunting again in the am, them going directly to the west end of the UP to hunt geese and bait and hopefully track bears for the next two weeks.

We only had two come in and killed them both. Three came in and landed over the hill from us near the pond, when we cut down on the two we called in to us 40+ got up and left, lol! Never knew they were there. They either roosted on the pond or came in REAL early as we got set up about 0655 (0640 sunrise).

Well i havent had much chance to get on here in a while but i have been out goose hunting almost every day since the 1st. There are 4 hunters in my group and me and my Dad are the only ones who can call so I havent even had time to raise my gun until yesterday afternoon. Heres the group head count so far. 1 loner opening day morning (Dads bird), 1 the next morning(Cousins bird), and 4 yesterday afternoon. Group of 4 came in and i got 2 and my dad and cousin each shot one so that makes 6 total so far. Its been a pretty slow start but usually is in the early season for some reason. Saw about 60 birds yesterday but about 50 were flight birds that probably got pushed by a big storm that came through and wouldnt even pay attention to our calling or spread. Weve been hunting them pretty hard so we are taking a couple days off. Hopefully ill get the camera out and get some proof

we started sept 1st here in pa.we got five on opening day and one of them had a band on it,but we have had no luck since then they are switching up on the food source to much to keep a good eye on them,but we will give it a good go till the earley season end's...good luck folks
