i got my stingers today, but only 2 line up correctly on the arrow to shoot straight.... can i fix this? i would like to have all 3 perfectly up and down when on my bow....
LSmountainman
DO they not match up with your cock vane? Have you shot them? It may not make a difference but I don't shoot those so I am not sure. Probably no chance at getting your insert out...maybe you can re-fletch?

OOOH If they are not perfectly straight up and down, the arrow wobbles and goes waay of target... if its up and down, they fly nice and perfect, and i hit my spot nearly every time.

Yeah, theres no hope for getting the insert out, they are basically super glued... lol.

Am i in trouble?? lol

I could prolly do an arrow wrap... but i dont think i have the time right now.... being in school and having homework.

buck,

Fletching and broadhead alignment won't make your arrow fly any better. My guess is the way the arrows are leaving your bow is causing the "flyers." They could be planing causing them to fly poorly. Your bow may need a little tune up.

Trophy is accurate. Broadhead alignment with vanes makes no difference at all. Your arrow will spin to a certain degree no matter what you do.

off to a bowshop i go.. thanks guys... i may pick me up some muzzys too...
epox
Have the bowshop remove the broadheads and use a ASD squaring tool to make sure the inserts are square so the broadheads are in straight also.
LSmountainman
Great suggestion Epox, I use one and swear by it. At least it makes me feel much better. Buckmaster, did you paper tune?

i got one broadhead flying PERFECT and dead on by heating the arrow shaft in boiling water and melting the glue.... turned the head flat and she flys true...

Are these carbon arrows?
If so you need to be EXTREMELY careful when heating them up to loosen the glue. Carbon and heat do not mix well at all. Even if you do not see damage they can still be damaged.

Be very careful!!
Yankeeguideservice.com
Carbon arrows are mostly plastics and epoxys, so heat is usualy a very bad thing on carbon.

yup carbon.... i ended up slicing off a fletching already :-P All 3 now fly dead on 2 i was able to turn without heating.. but still had to use vice grips to turn field point....

I have used a plastic washer designed for just what you are talking about. Put it on the threaded shaft and it won't screw in as far which changes the alignment of the blades to the vanes. Since then I have changed to 4 blade heads. By the way it doesn't make any difference. If they don't fly right you have a different problem. Try spin testing them. Tom.
