Who shoots a bow with glasses or contacts?
I tried with glasses and it just doesn't feel right or comfortable. I like the contact when shooting (my right eye is my bad eye), but I don't like wearing it all the time. I decided to go with something, because I felt like I was giving up about 20 minutes of shooting time at dusk.

I wear glasses for hunting and don't have a problem with them...............EXCEPT.............I made the mistake of getting Transitions lenses. The doctor told me I would notice no difference in the lenses than clear.
NOOOOOTTTTT. I lost just about an hour in a shady area I was hunting unless I took the glasses off. The problem is I got the glasses in June and when I noticed how much darker they were during bow hunting I went back and told him about it. He said if I had brought them back in the first month I could have gotten them changed at no charge. Needless to say I will not be going back to him. Do not make the same mistake I made

I wear my glasses during off hunting and my contacts while hunting. That way I don't have to deal with the rain on the glasses or most importantly to me is not catching anything out of the corner of my eye which with contacts you catch movement easier where glasses you have a blurry or I like to call it my blind spot off to the side. I have to wear corrective lenses full time.

I have to wear glasses or contacts as well. When I first started trying to switch back and forth between glasses and contacts I really had problems with the bow. I ended up finding that my draw length was a little too long. It caused me to have to tilt my head back which worked with the contacts but caused all sorts of problems with the glasses. I didn't even realize I was doing it.

like someone else said. I wear my glasses when im not shooting and my contacts when i am. It bothers me to shoot with glasses. For hunting I will be wearing my contacts. that way they wont be in the way. and like someone else said, you wont have to worry about rain, or twigs and branches for that matter.

Contacts here. Tried glassses but didn't work for me. I have to wear them all the time and have gottem so use to them sometimes I go to bed with them because I forgot I had them in! Only problem I have had is when your sittin all day and the wind is hitting you in the face constantly, they will get dry so I take a bottle of rewetting drops for those situations.

What kind of money are we talking about for that? I guess it is an option for the future.

I paid right around $2000 for both eyes last year. I can see great now in the daylight but when it gets dusk i can not see as well i was borderline because of the size off my pupils so i knew the risk when i went in.but to get rid of contacts and glasses it was well worth the money

I assume your vision is satisfactory? You're happy with the results?

VERY...
Just had the ole peepers checked at the beginning of the month....
they said it may need a tune up after a year or two but still 20/20 after 5.
It's amazine...I can't wear contacts..eyes just couldn't take them...
I hated glasses especially bird hunting...cold mornings they always fogged up. etc...
I'm tellin ya best damn money I ever spent!
Probably paid for by now with the cost of glasses etc....

I went back to the eye doctor today for my yearly. I asked for a copy of my eye pics.
Here's the proof of the faulty right eye. it's been like this since birth, but I'm fine until I close the left eye to shoot a bow or shotgun.
Edit: The right eye is on the left in this pic. Think like you are looking into my eyes. Hey, you really are.

I do all my shooting with glasses. The problem I have is with my binoculars and rangefinder. I am unable to see through them with my glasses on. It is a back and forth battle when I am on the Spot and Stalk.
