There are not any other bean fileds in the area so I can not gauge them aganist other soybean fields. Seems like last year while traveling I saw several fields that were already yellow by this time of year.

The upper end is only about knee high now. The lower end which is in the picture has been hit all the way around the edges. The middle is close to chest high to me so its over the deer's heads. I saw a fawn wonder out in the middle of the beans the other day and all I could see was the beans moving. It was funny to watch.

Cool! Good Luck!

EastKY,
They should stay green for a while. All of the soybean fields around here are turning yellow and our Eagle Forage Soybeans are still green as can be. I watched some does yesterday hiding in them when I came home from work by the house.

Good to see you over here Brad. A few members here are using the eagle seed beans this year.

I have to say that I am really impressed with the eagle seed forge soybeans. I was over at the farm today doing a little work and checking cameras. The creek has dried up. The pond is about 5 feet low. The tree leaves are turning brown and falling off. (Its not going to be a good year for fall colors). But the Soybeans are still green and growing. We have only has .10" of rain in the last month. There hanging full with bean pods and the pods are full of beans. I would have never thought that they would be green this far into Sept. It is highly possible they will be green up into October. That is just unheard of in our area.

My forage soybean plots are still very green here in Arkansas south of you. All of my research soybeans for ag types are completely mature or mostly yellow with leaves falling off. I have some great side by side pictures I will get on here soon. The deer are traveling across 2 mature soybean fields from Claypool Reservoir to hunt down my late maturing forage soybeans. I even has some late planted that they are loving. Hope to score one soon now that bow season is in here, Brad.

We had a light frost a few nights ago. The low lying areas of the plot got hit. There is a noticable yellow strip through the plot. Other than that there still green. It is unusual for us to have a frost this early.

This picture was taken Oct 19th. We have had several mornings of frost. The leaves are all dead and dried up. But the bean pods are full. The deer are starting to be in the plot more since the beans are drying out.

Some of my Game Keeper Soybeans still have green leaves next to the woods. My 11 year old son shot his first buck in them this past saturday.
