Got a pop up blind this year to try since one place I want to hunt has no good trees for a stand. Do any of you shoot thru the mesh or do you just take it down. What about shooting broadheaads thru it (rage), also does it effect the arrow flight at all?

Don't shoot a Rage through mesh, it will open and you don't want that to happen until it hits your target. Some other mechanicals can make it through without opening but I still wouldn't want to risk it. I know lots of guys will shoot fixed blades through the mesh but I'm still not liking the idea anything betweeen my broadhead and what I'm trying to shoot, other than air. When I'm hunting from a blind I have the mesh pulled down anywhere I might have to shoot from. I can leave the windows open just a crack and carefully slide them down when the time comes. I'll leave the mesh up in spots that I'm only likely to be viewing from and not shooting through.

Also do you leave it up or take it down every time? Talking like a month at a time.

Depends on where I'm hunting. On my own proprty I will leave it out all hunting season. The longer it's there the more time the deer have to be comfortable around it. Obviously weather will take it's toll and break it down faster if it's always left out.
And I have found one a hundred yards from where it was staked down after a nasty wind storm. Still need to do some repairs on that one.

I have a Ground Max blind that is 3 years old. I have never shot at a deer out of it, but I've taken 3 shots from it and killed 2 turkeys and one target (all 3 shots were through the mesh). When I first got it, I took one shot at 50 yards through the mesh to see if there was any effect, and there was not. Both shots at the turkeys dropped them within 6 feet of where they stood (in other words, the arrow hit exactly where I was aiming). I was shooting Thunderheads at the time. I have 100% confidence that the Thunderheads will not be affected by the mesh.
That being said, I switched to Rage 2-blades this year for deer, and I won't be attempting to shoot through the mesh. I put the blind up already and left the mesh out of the windows that are open to my shooting lanes.

Here is an old review for a gound blind that talks about the mesh.

I bought Dad a Doghouse blind last Christmas. If he doesn't break it out soon after the season starts, I may just give it a go.

I have never killed one shooting through the mesh but I have practiced shooting through the mesh with regular and expandable. I saw no degradation in accuracy with either. The expendable I shot were Spitfire and Spitfire Pros.
I do have a couple of good stories about my hunting partner shooting through mesh though. One time a couple of years ago while hunting with a muzzle loader. My partner was using a blind and I was up on a hill above him about a half mile away. I was hunting the edge of a bedding area near dusk. Every once in a while I would look through the binoculars and check out where he was hunting. I could see his blind and the area in front of it. I spotted a couple of does coming into his field of fire and continued to watch. I saw a puff of white smoke come from the blind and the deer leaped away. While still looking at the blind I saw orange flames coming from one of the windows. It did not set the blind on fire but the mesh burnt up real quick. So you might not want to shoot a muzzle loader through it.

I have shot 4-5 deer from my DoubleBull blinds and all thru the mesh. Also, 4 turkeys. Again, all thru the mesh. I shoot fixed blade broadheads while in the blind as I like Trophy5503 don't like anything that will affect the flight. I have no problem however with the fixed blades. I have three of these blinds and have absolutely no issues with arrow flight. I love them.
I leave my blinds out in locations all season and then again in areas I can't I pack it in. Either way doesn't seem to both the deer. I do now have a 12" hole thru my mesh of one of my large windows that was put there by a Michigan State cop that hunted out of it during the firearms season. And they say they are the smartest cops in the world and best trained . . . . well where's the common seanse. . . he shot a deer with the barrel of his 30-06 inside the blind rather than thru a slit I had cut in the mesh for just such a purpose. Blam!!! Muzzle blast put a huge hole in the mesh. So, on that blind I have a spot I can now shoot my Rage broadheads. . . . LOL
Good luck this season and you are going to enjoy your new blind. My first buck kill from one had my heart pounding so hard I thought I was going to have to be gutted out and drug back to camp . . . being at ground level sure brings back some of that old "new hunter" adrenaline rush. I loved it.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned but has to be taken into account when shooting a bow out of any blind...Make sure the arrow is going to clear the blind. Remember the arrow is several inches below the line of sight/ site pin. This is even more exagerated for thiose who use a release with the low anchor points. What looks like a clear shot out the mesh or open window by the placement of the sight pin may have your arrow through the side of the blind.
And the blind material does deflect broadhead flight...

Captiveone, I have some video of my partner who started the blind on fire, doing exactly that. Just caught the very edge of the window and the carbon arrow exploded. There are some bad words on the video. LOL.
