Don't expect them to come back right away, but the'll be back on schedule often within a day.

Now if you've spooked them and they've winded you a few times than more than likely they'll change their patterns up to at least by pass the area slightly if not all together.

If they dont blow they could come back within the next day... If they caught your scent and saw you, they are figuring out you are a human.... and may take them a few days to return...

I dont think you messed them up, you will see them again soon.

I hunt a similar situation that you do. I am surrounded by houses and at those houses there are rowdy kids and yipper dogs... so i have barking and screaming kids all afternoon, they really stresses the deer and they dont come out till edge of dark or after..... morning is the best time here. Dogs running throgh my hunting area really ticks me off too, had a pair of dogs run some deer ou of the field friday evening. Thats huntin in a high populated area lol.

I got busted BAD last weekend...
They ran across the swamp, turned around and came right back 20 minutes later.

If you keep doing that..they will leave and not come back but on non pressured deer...
You can get away with it once....

Its hard..I have a couple stands with only ONE way in...if I hunt them in the am....I often get busted....I have to get in them really early....

Expect for the Mother Doe to look right were you were sitting everytime she goes past that spot. I spooked a buck behind me by turning around to see what was making the noise, he looked right up at me and darted away. He came again and busted me in the same stand the next weekend. Then i set up in the corn, about 20 ft. away from the stand and put a arrow right threw him (watching him look up at my tree stand) the last day of archery season last year. So if your looking to harvest that doe, id say change the place you set up in, But in the same area. hopefully this was a useful story

I hunt mobile... Different tree each hunt. I pattern the deer rather than them patterning me...
A spooked deer might return, and might not. Some are dumber than others... I think the ones that get to be a few years old, generally did not make it that long by returning to where a threat was...
