Whitetail....

Rattling NOW is VERY effective... Sequences keep them short every hour, also Light, tickling and light sparring. No calls yet imho... sequence rattling sessions at 10-15 seconds

Let Halloween be your trigger date for calls, shallow grunts, also doe bleets. True Talker Call here is a Good bet, But be lighter on it... No barking grunts shallow tones, wet the reed slightly, Increase your RATTLING, fairly aggresive but not heavy clashing just yet, Rake with vegetation also, keep sequences rather loud, not heavilly heated, but aggressive 30- seconds to 45 seconds long

After Nov 4th Become Extremely aggressive in your Rattling, Cannot be to Loud enough, you wanna hurt something. Primos Buck Roar, Get on it, also Tru Talker, cannot go wrong with either one...... Sequence 45 seconds to 2 Minutes. Thrash vegetation, be alert, they spot you while rattling yer done...

Aggresive Bucks will zone in on Rattling and your location from 300 yards with PINPOINT accuracy, I have had them crash thru HEAVY Thickets, heard them coming for 200 yards to stop at the BASE of the tree I was in, there that accurate in pinpointing the sounds location..

Non Aggresive Bucks small and Old Always watch downwind for animals to come in, BUT be alert everywhere, aggresive animals will come no matter the wind, Non aggresive will come in downwind 99% of the time, these animals are curious Often timid or unsure, but curious....

aggresive animals, there just flat out coming... An aggresive Buck coming to rattling I have seen close 200 yards in flat out runs in merely seconds, faster than I could hang the Antlers and grab my bow.

mature animals Spotted deer, out of reach of a call, farmlands... Quick horn clash.. stop him and get him looking in your direction. as soon as he stops and looks your way stop and wait, monitor his body langauge.

If he starts to walk away Hit them again But real quick and get off, If he's aggresive he's coming. Halloween till Thanksgiving, If he's alone, 9 for 10 he's coming be ready, he's looking to steal the show, especially a mature animal...

Every year,,, I get a handful of animals to respond... Its the Most exciting Hunting there is when it all goes your way... Nothing beats a Hoss coming in Hairs Bristled, Neck swollen, Gameface on and yer able to get it done!!!

Does it work all the time No, often, No, sometimes yes... When it does, the rite animal in the rite Mood, and your a True Grit Bowhunter yer gonna have a memory your sure never to forget!!!

Good Luck Hunting!!!
