Taken from the Hornady Reloading Manual.
The 7.62 Russian ( 7.62 x 54R) is a Rimmed bottlenecked 30 caliber cartridge adopted by the Russian army in 1891.The most common is The Mosin-Nagant rifles . These are boxer primed and available from Norma.
This is the Russian Equal of the 308 but not identical. I would save up brass and reload my own or find someone with the dies and load up a supply. fun to shoot a very accurate.
