I just got word today that I may go down into texas the week after thanksgiving to help a guide clear out a deer herd so he can put in a new breed.... Its not rock solid yet, but im still excited. Supossed to be thousands of animals on this tract of like 5 thousand acres.

Travis I don't know if it still is that way but when I took my son with me on A Texas Deer Hunt if you are under 17 years old you pay the same price as a resident youth. They want to encourage young hunters so they give them a break on their license.

Travis I just looked it up License will cost you a whole $6.00. You can get them at Walmart. Lot's of the ranches down there have direct hookups with the Licensing Agent and can issue them right on the ranch.
