About ten feet from my stand I just found two bare spots of dirt. I'm not used to looking for stuff like this and I'm wondering if this is a deer scrape.

If you can't tell, they're both under small oak trees and about ten feet from a food plot and about thirty from a salt lick.

Anyway, here's a few pictures, thanks.

They're both bigger than they look in the pictures...the small one is about two feet in diameter and the larger is about a yard...

Could be. Is there a licking limb over the scrape????

Being that you are from the south the rut in your area should be in December. Is this correct??????

If so that is some good sign to find. If you have a trail camera hang it facing the scrape. I would position it so the deer will not be facing the flash, if possible. They may not use it if there getting flashed in the face.

Yeah, rut is in December. The trees don't have anything special, just oaks with orange leaves.

Also looks like doe droppings in the one picture, I'd say you found a scrape.

Use a stick and make the scrape a little larger alsomay want to take a leak in it next time your out and put the cam over it, like EastKyBH said.

Take the stick back out of the woods with you so you dont leave your scent in the area.
