Cow/Calf Archery Encounter

That is pretty cool! That happened to me once back in the 70's with deer though....I was sneaking up a ridge on a logging road along side a swamp, i crested the ridge and saw a little buck following a doe but they were going the way I just came from. So I snuck back down got out to the road ran down a couple hundred yards then back in to the swamp, it did't take long the doe started trotting down the trail along the swamp with the buck right behind her, she turned off the trail right at me ran by and knocked the arrow completely off the bow, the buck followed in her tracks and went by just as close and I couldn't do a thing about it

Wonder if she smells blood from a previous kill on that arrow.
Good thing she didn't get mean with having a young one with her.
