Went out this morning and squirrel hunted. Killed 2 from one tree as soon as i got to my spot.

Went and climbed up into my deer stand and shot one more, and the recoil from the shotgun bout knocked me off the platform haha.

Got down and walked into a thicket and saw one sitting on a branch... i sneaked up on him and he saw me and moved off the limb, so i waited. Eventually he looked at me through a split in the tree limbs and i let him have it. 4 down.

Next one, i was sitting in a creek bottom, and there was a family of 4 squirrels playing chase around a tree, these were yearling squirrels, i saw daddy run off so i waited for him. Eventually he came back and sat an a log 30 yards away. Kaboom, squirrel 5 hit the dirt.

In my next spot, I saw a squirrel run up a ridge so i sat and waited. I was expecting him to come back down, but he never did. Then i heard some behind me and i turn to see two playin on a fallen tree. One had a solid white tail, and the other was normal. I tried to move to where i could get a shot at the squirrel with the white tail but he saw me and bolted. The other one ran up the tree and ono a low limb over the creek, to easy, 6th squirrel took a swim

My parents hate it when i come in from hunting....

They told me i CANNOT cook them in the house. h3ll, i can hardly cook deer meat in the house.

I deep fried them outside on the side burner of the grill, it tastes like chicken


It's really hard having 2 parents that don't hunt or eat wild game.... seriously, it is.

Who got you into hunting? And yes that does sound very tough. My mom's whole family hunts.

Sounds confusing, but thats still cool . I'd say your doing pretty good for pretty much doing everything on your own.

Thats pretty cool that you still managed to get into hunting without your parents helping. We need more people to take that approach and initiative to getting things done. Hang in their and keep beating the bushes. Its a life time activity that is always rewarding. Tell your moms sister's, ex-husband GREAT JOB!
