Spent all morning working on this bugger.
MN_Whitetail is working until 6..so I went to work on his little buck from this year.
But shhh.....he doesnt know it, told him I wouldnt be able to get to it until next week.

So, if you have done a doe, pronghorn, raccoon, and 2 buck mounts in like 3 months, and they look great and your still new at this, why the heck does it take till june or july for me to get my deer head back?? haha

My guess is that taxidermists get so much work to do that it takes them a year to even get to it!
not only deer heads, but theres fish, birds, and other mammals for them to do too....(considering they do those things).

I know alot of them send the hides off to the tannery instead of in-house tanning. although I dont know how long that takes either.

P.S. My next mount is a coyote...she is in the tanning solution at the moment. :)
