I just bought a bow Diamond Rock. Is there any little faults i should be concerned with in this line of bows, or any tuning tips I should know about. Anything you guys can tell me will help its my first bow I've always hunted with a rifle until last year and had borrowed a bow from a friend and got a kill. So I guess the bug has bitten. Thanks

Welcome to RDHC. welcome.gif

Diamond makes a nice bow. There made by Bowtech. I've owned several Diamond/Bowtech bows since 2005. The Rock has received good reviews.

If you have not already done so check out www.archerytalk.com. Just a word of caution. There are a lot of members there that like to bash certain bow companys. A lot of there posts are just to "stir the pot". If you know what I mean.

There is also a lot of great information there as well.

Enjoy you new bow. cheers.gif

There is absolutley nothing wrong with the rock and for the price its a steal. Its short, pretty fast, and pretty quiet. Draw is pretty smooth also. They pretty much combined a $500 bow with a $400 bow to make the rock. Sorry thats a lot of pretty's haha. I say that because its not as smooth as something like the Black Ice but its still great. The 2007 trumph and Rapture were put together. The rock has the same IBO and KE as the Black Ice. Just the limbs are not as parallel. Its a great bow and we sell a ton of them. Any guy that is looking for a good bow that is not to spendy I recommend the Rock to them. They shoot it against higher end parker models and a couple of the lower end bear models and they always take the Rock over those. Great buy and good luck with it.

I'm glad to here good support for Diamond/Bowtech. I just went and got it set up for me this evening at Bass Pro. Had to drive an hour for that. I live here in Fl. and I don't have a bow shop on every corner. I know it would be better to live in the country. They treated me real good though. I had a lot of questions for the guy I felt sorry for him, but it's my first bow and want to make sure everything is straight. Want to thank you guys again for your support.

I've ate wild hog but don't care for it has a very strong taste. Might be fun to hunt but not to eat in my book. I usually take off the whole month of Nov. from work to go hunting up there about 25 days. Usually rifle hunt, but now I can bow hunt. It's kinda strange I got my first bow kill before I got my own bow. http://realdealhuntingchat.invisionzone.co...ault/cheers.gif

Hogs are delicious cheers.gif
Now if you are talking about mature wild males, not so much, just like domestic hogs.

I usualy shoot them under 150lbs for the table. I realy like them around 75lbs.

I have been shooting a Diamond Liberty the last couple years and I still love it.

IMHO Diamond bows are one of the better bows for your dollar.(ArcheryTalk type reply here!LOL)
