Full Version: Does anyone use Trophy Rock Mineral Lick?

I Love Deer
I like trying different stuff in front of my camera to see what the deer like the best. I mostly placed corn, soybeans, oats, Lucky Buck Minerals and some mineral licks in front of the camera. I was wondering if Trophy Rock works good or is there something else I should try? Thanks for any information you can give me.

I used trophy rock's for a while and the deer tore them things up, dug holes in the ground after they were gone. They got kinda pricey though, so I switched to trace mineral blocks. They seem to like them pretty good too.

Thanks for the info. I might try one of those and see what kind of pictures I get. Did you have a camera out that shows deer were licking it? I get lots of pictures of coons and I would like to find something to put out that the coons don't go crazy over.

I love the T.R. I go thru 2 brown trace mineral blocks from Tractor Supply & 4 Trophy Rocks for the whole season. The reason TR is doubled the mineral blocks is due to the deer hitting those harder. My deercams are set up on the 2 areas and show me which they prefer when sitting a foot apart. Don't get me wrong, the deer lick both, but the majority is spent licking the TR. The TR is $16 at Gander and the mineral block is $6, so to me its not very costly when I could be feeding them corn or another supplement that could really hit the wallet. Inexpensive investment to me for minerals than none at all.
