Well, almost all the flesh and skin is off the skull now, except for around the teeth and the roof of its mouth. A water change and some steaming water and it should clean up in about a week.
I'm thinking about adding it in when i get my squirrel mount done ( now thawing ) and having the squirrel with his front feet up on the top of the skull.
Shedego, what would be the best way to skin the squirrel for this mount? Tube skin or belly cut? A cut up the stomach is the only one i have really practiced....

Either way would work, if you do a belly cut and have the squirrel with his paws on the skull, the skull will be hidding the area you sew...and if you tube skin it, and he is in a sitting position, than the cut will be hidden under the mount. Personally id try to tube skin the little guy. Its very similar to the ventral cut you've practiced, so you should be just fine. But what ever your comfortable doing. are you going to DP the hide? or tan it? just curious
Cant wait to see both your projects :)
