Me and Tyra were out shooting this evening. I told her "Something don't feel right with my bow". So I knocked another arrow, drew back....and BAAAAAAAMMMMM! It exploded!

After we got ice on my wrist from where the string slapped me, we started wondering where the arrow went. We looked all beyond the target to no avail. Walking back we started picking up pieces. This is all we found.

Glad you weren't hurt seriously. Looks like it is time for a new one.

Glad your OK. That could have been nasty. Don't just put on a new cable. Take it to the dealer and have them tear it down and throughly inspect the limbs for hairline cracks and cams for bending or warpage. Hope it works out for you.

It looks like the serving gave way at the bottom cam where it was tied in. I have to say that this is negligence on my part for not changing my string like I should. This string is 4 or 5 years old. Just never thought about it!
I checked the limbs and can't find any cracks. I'm bringing it to the Pro Shop and if it checks out ok, he will put new cables and a string. It could have been a lot worse!

Hmmm, reminds me of when my old Pro-line let go. Of course, my rig was about 10 years old.
Congrats on avoiding a more serious injury!

Had new strings and cables put on my bow. No damage to the limbs!
