This is my first spring with a food plot and the turkeys have found it. I did not draw a tag but you can buy a archery tag for the last 2 weeks. They are spending alot of time 10 yrds. from one of my deer stands. Would it work?

I don't see why not, just show me where the stand is and I'll be down with my bow! roflmao.gif

A turkey biologist told me that most fall turkeys in his state are taken by deer hunters. I assume many of these hunters are in stands. Check your state hunting regs to see if hunting birds from a stand is verbotten. I've thought about doing that.

Yes it will work, and it will work good. Turkeys rarely look up into trees to look for danger.

I once callled a bird in from a ladder stand, he never saw me and i darn near stood up and jumped up and down.

Good luck!

sure, why not unless turkey hunting rules forbid it there...although i dont recommend jumping off the stand laugh.gif

I've taken 5 birds during the fall with my bow....all from tree stands, so I don't know why it wouldn't work in the Spring.
