Heres my first fan mount. It only had 16 tail feathers, and i had to custom cut a beard to match my other one.

I have another fan drying out right now, my cousin saw mine and wanted me to do one for him as well with the birds fan he shot saturday ;)

You can take more feathers and cover up the lower ends on the next one...if you wanted.

What lower ends are you talking about?

Near the panel were you can see the under feathers. You can cover those up as well if you wanted with the darker feathers.
