Seasons been out a week and the toms here are really fired up! I hear them gobbling all day long now, double and triple gobbles sometimes.

Seems they opened the season a week too late and closed it a week too soon.

2. I killed one and missed 2, i could have reached my limit this year, we ended up killing 2 off the property and missing 3 between 4 hunters.

Yeouch! .... All those wasted gobbles!

believe it or not lug, only 2 of those birds we missed were shot at after calling, the 2 i missed, i never called them, i ambushed them.
