Can some one tell me what brand and what color of paint to use on my pig skull?

Don't use paint?
Just soak it in peroxide, make sure it is degreased well first.

travis is right. Soak it in clear dawn dish soap and water. Pigs are greasey suckers so you may have to let it degrease for a few weeks before you whiten it.
you can paint if you really want to, but its going to look more natural if you use peroxide. Either way the grease has to go.
Good luck!

Go to a grocery store and buy a box or two of Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda. It is sodium carbonate. Don't buy the Arm and Hammer Detergent by mistake. Find a container that the head will fit in and cover it with water. Then add a bunch of the Super Washing Soda and let it sit. Stir it every so often and you should clean it up pretty good. The kerosene thing was definitely not a good idea.
I thought I would add that if you can boil the solution with the skull in it it will deflesh and clean up much faster but it will work with just soaking.

Here's a link for deremestid beetles. They do about the best job on cleaning a skull. From there I allways use peroxide, and
not bleach.http://www.barebonesandbugs.com/Boiling works also, but you will still have some work ahead of you with nasal, brain, nerve stuff. I've done alot of skulls and you can use compressed air, small wire and other things to get the goodies out!
I'll find some skull pics to share for ya.

I've got a pig skull myself I would like to do, I thought about tying a rope to it and throwing it in the pond and let the critters take care of the rest. I've heard that will work but doe anybody here know for sure?

40 volume peroxide & quick white powder. That is what you need to whiten the skull after you degrease and clean it. Products can be bought at Sally beauty supply. I agree on the super washing soda. I dont boil but simmer the skull in the soda/water solution. If you boil it more than likely will damage the skull. Eddie

Simmer is the word I should have used. You are correct, boiling will cause damage.
Here's a few I have done.

Don't just soak in peroxide, make a paste and let it sit. Soaking can and will destoy the skull if soaked to long.
