I have two food plots that have a mix of purple top turnip, rape, ladinio clover, rye grass, white clover and buck wheat. It has really taken off the last week and a half. It's almost a foot high where it gets the most sun. Should these plots be mowed or just let them grow? I can post some pics tonight when I'm at home. Thanks. I also have another small experimental plot with turnips, rutabagas, parsnips and oats. Can all of these be sprayed? I've been pulling the milkweed but the thistle is coming on.

plot started last Sept. and replanted this spring

not 100% sure about turnips/rape since ive never dealt with them but the rest can be mowed. I mowed my ladino clover twice last year; once when the flowers matured and the next was about a week before bow season so it was fresh for the herd. This year i moved out of state but my dad has had to mow it twice already and probably 2 more times before the season starts. I dont know if you have to mow it but the deer seem to like the stuff on the bottom the best.
