Spent most of the day hitting the various hobby/craft shops and fabric stores with my wife. Every once in a while I do this. While she is off looking for her stuff, I cruise the departments where I might find stuff that could be useful for hunting/fishing.

I came across some "cat whiskers" that are sewn on cat dolls. Wow... these things are dead ringers for jake decoy beards! Made of plastic, about 4 inches long, about 5 strands in each set of 2. I figure 2 packages will make a decent beard when glued onto a decoy. Don't know why I didn't buy them today, but she'll pick them up for me later this week. Found them in a Hobby Lobby store.

I did pick up a tanned rabbit hide for $4 and a 12" x 9" length of long dark brown fake fur for $3. Also got 2 sets of screw-in black eyes for $2 and 2 eight inch adjustable doll stands for $2.50 each. I'll spray paint the stands flat dark brown, put a hole in the bases, and push long gutter nails through the holes to secure them in the ground.

So for $14 I have 2 coyote attractors. I'll squirt some rabbit scent on them and see if I can knock off a yote or 2.

My wife goes through a craft and fabric shop the same way I go through Cabellas or Fin, Feather, and Fur!!!! I figure its an even trade!
