Guys, just joined the real deal but I'm a turkey chaser from "way back"..... I love to chase the big thunderchickins of the spring. To tell you the truth, just don't get any better than that. Afraid to say, I stuck on the Easterns but will be retiring soon and just may have to try"the slam"... now wouldn't that be something coolsmiley.gif

Welcome cut un. I've been hooked on turkey for 6 yrs now. Most enjoyable form of hunting for me. Nothing like being afield on a beautiful spring morning!

A slam would be super. Conversed with a fellow on another site that got a double slam this spring -2 of each birds! Man, that is something.

Been involved with spring turkey hunting every since it was introduced here in Va.....and that's a long time friend and I've had many battles . T hunting for me is hard to explain, I've tried many times. It's a sport I do..not to kill a bird, but for the pure thrill of the hunt. It's a thrill to match wites with him on his own turf and to make him do something that goes against nature. Thrill is certainly an understatement

You said it! I get just as excited, when i hit my call and have a gobbler echo back than when i actually see/kill a bird. Thats what i love about hunting coolsmiley.gif
